A leading business is seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing Buyer to join its growing procurement team.


This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused procurement professional to take ownership of supplier strategy, category management, and supply chain performance within a highly technical environment.


You’ll play a key role in developing supplier relationships, driving cost-saving initiatives, improving supply chain resilience, and supporting long-term operational success.


Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies across assigned commodities
• Manage supplier performance, sourcing activity, and long-term agreements
• Drive cost reduction and supply chain improvement initiatives
• Build supplier resilience and support business continuity planning
• Collaborate with engineering, production, quality, and operations teams
• Support supplier onboarding and capacity planning
• Ensure supplier compliance with quality, regulatory, and ESG standards

About You

• CIPS Level 4 qualified
• Proven procurement experience within manufacturing or engineering
• Experience developing sourcing or category strategies
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Able to read and understand technical drawings
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills
