Job Description

ROLE: Electrical Buyer
LOCATION: Eastbourne
HOURS: 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday
SALARY: £34K - £36K (pending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

Source and procure electrical materials, components, and equipment in line with project requirements
Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely delivery of goods
Raise and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with internal teams to maintain supply continuity
Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
Resolve any supply issues, discrepancies, or delays proactively
Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance teams

Key Requirements

Previous experience in a Buyer or Procurement role, ideally within the electrical, construction, or engineering sectors
Strong knowledge of electrical products, materials, and supply chains
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in procurement systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
High level of attention to detail and organisational skills
