  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation including the Licensing Act 2003, Health Act 2006, Gambling Act 2005, London Local Authorities Act 1991, and the Highways Act 1980.
  • Act as an authorised officer, planning and conducting inspections, enforcement visits, investigations, and projects to ensure legal compliance across licensed premises (e.g., alcohol, gambling, massage, and special treatments).
  • Investigate and respond to complaints regarding licensed and unlicensed premises and activities, working in partnership with external agencies including the Police, Fire Brigade, and other enforcement bodies.

  • Sound understanding of relevant legislation and enforcement protocols.
  • Strong investigative, evidence-gathering, and case-preparation skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with confidence in dealing with businesses, partners, and members of the public.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied and reactive caseload.
