Workshop Supervisor – Heavy Plant

A leading major dealership specialising in Heavy Plant are looking for a Workshop Supervisor to oversee the day to day running of workshop activities and guiding the careers of the workshop team, whilst working with some of the most advanced machinery in the industry.

Salary: £50,000

The requirements of the Workshop Supervisor will be:
  • The Workshop Supervisor will effectively plan and organise workshop activities, ensuring all jobs are completed on time and in line with process
  • Day to day management of Workshop team, identifying any training gaps and actioning performance management
  • Develop and guide apprentices through hands on mentoring
  • Regular review of process and working practices, streamline/improve where necessary
  • Ensure a high level of Health and Safety are in place at all times
The ideal candidate for Workshop Supervisor will have:
  • Experience as a time served engineer with a formal apprenticeship in Construction Plant or similar
  • Experience within Construction, Heavy Plant, Agriculture, Commercial Vehicles or similar industries
  • Strong people management skills
  • Excellent technical understanding of machinery
  • High levels of organisational skills
