Are you a dedicated and experienced Social Worker ready to make a difference in children’s lives at the earliest possible stage?
We are currently seeking a Senior Qualified Social Worker to join a fast-paced, supportive Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) team in South Yorkshire.
In this vital role, you’ll assess and work with children and families, intervening where needed to offer early help and ensure the best outcomes through collaborative, informed decision-making.
 
What You'll Be Doing
As part of the MASH team, you will:

• Undertake timely assessments of risk, protection, and care needs.
• Conduct Section 47 Enquiries and progress cases to Initial Child Protection Conferences.
• Carry out direct assessment work with children and families.
• Collaborate with partners including police, health professionals, and Early Help services to ensure effective intervention and long-term positive change.
• Plan for permanence from day one.
• Create and implement child-centred care plans that promote dignity, diversity, and empowerment.
• Contribute to a multi-agency, integrated safeguarding approach.

 
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a candidate who is not only qualified but also passionate about making a real difference.
You will have:

• Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England
• 4+ years' post-qualified experience working with children and families
• Strong understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding issues
• Excellent assessment, mediation, and negotiation skills
• Confidence to work independently while supporting unqualified staff and students
• Ability to build meaningful, respectful relationships with children and families
• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary, interagency framework
• A creative, reflective, and flexible mindset focused on continuous improvement
