Test Architect / Senior Test Manager – UK based/SE - £60K/£70K p.a.


Are you a seasoned Test Architect or Senior Test Manager with extensive experience in delivering complex test projects and programmes? Do you have a strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and a proven track record in test automation, DevOps, test environments, test data management, and SDLC tools? Role Overview:
As a Test Architect / Senior Test Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading the strategy, design, and execution of testing for large-scale, high-impact projects. You will be responsible for shaping test methodologies, driving test automation initiatives, overseeing DevOps processes, and ensuring the successful management of test environments, data, and SDLC tools. Working with both technical and non-technical teams, you will drive quality and innovation in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of complex test projects, ensuring alignment with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Develop and implement test strategies, processes, and frameworks for end-to-end testing.
• Champion test automation practices and support DevOps integration within the testing lifecycle.
• Ensure test environments are properly configured, managed, and optimized for the successful execution of test cycles.
• Manage test data creation, management, and optimization to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Oversee the selection and integration of test management and SDLC tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless communication between development, operations, and business units.
• Drive continuous improvement in test processes and techniques, keeping up with industry trends and emerging technologies.

 
Skills & Experience:

• Proven track record of delivering complex test projects and programmes in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Extensive experience in test automation frameworks, tools, and best practices.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with managing test environments, test data, and related tools.
• Expertise in SDLC tools, test management platforms, and associated reporting systems.
• Ability to define test strategies and lead teams to achieve testing objectives in line with project timelines.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to mentor junior staff and influence senior leadership.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

 
Desirable:

• Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of cloud-based testing, performance testing, and security testing.
