The Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Science Teacher with a Biology specialism to join a thriving secondary school in Birmingham from January 2026. This long-term supply role involves teaching Biology across KS3–KS5, inspiring students through engaging lessons that develop scientific curiosity and academic achievement.
You’ll play a key part in delivering a well-structured curriculum, supporting practical experiments, and preparing students for GCSE and A-Level success. The department is well-resourced and collaborative, offering a supportive environment for both experienced teachers and ECTs.
 
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a motivated and knowledgeable Science educator who can bring Biology to life in the classroom. You should be:
  • A qualified teacher with QTS (applications from ECTs welcome)
  • Confident teaching Biology across KS3–KS5
  • Passionate about fostering curiosity and analytical thinking
  • Skilled in planning engaging practical and theoretical lessons
  • Organised, approachable, and committed to student progress
