The Role
We’re seeking an organised and proactive Science Technician to join a vibrant secondary school in Birmingham on a full-time, term-time only basis. This is an immediate start role for someone with solid practical experience supporting KS3 and KS4 Science.
You’ll be responsible for preparing, setting up, and maintaining equipment for a range of experiments, ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely. The role will also involve maintaining stock levels, assisting with demonstrations, and ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed within the department.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a UK-trained Science Technician with experience in a school laboratory setting. You should be:
- Experienced and confident in setting up practical experiments across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- Knowledgeable about health and safety standards in a school science environment
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Able to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other technicians
- Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to supporting student learning
