Job Description
A ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated secondary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a dedicated Design Technology Teacher specialising in Resistant Materials. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in October 2025, offering the opportunity to inspire creativity and innovation in pupils across KS3 and KS4.

The Role
You will be responsible for teaching Resistant Materials across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging, practical, and theory-based lessons. The role includes full teaching responsibilities—planning, delivery, and assessment—while supporting students to develop strong technical and design skills. You will also prepare pupils for GCSE exams, encouraging innovation, problem-solving, and confidence in using a range of tools and materials.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified teacher with a specialism in Design Technology, specifically Resistant Materials. Strong classroom management, creativity, and a passion for hands-on learning are essential.
