Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the day-to-day transport operations, including scheduling and dispatching vehicles.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, and maintenance.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Assist in preparing and processing transport documentation, such as delivery notes and invoices.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any transport-related issues promptly.
- Assist in route planning and optimisation to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain and update transport databases and filing systems.
- Proven experience as a Transport Administrator or in a similar logistics role.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to handle unexpected situations.
