Job Description

Network IT is currently recruiting for Senior Project Managers to join our client in Somerset on a 12 month initial contract.
 
We are recruiting for multiple experienced Project Managers, to support a major transformation portfolio within a high-profile government organisation. Successful candidates will lead delivery across key strategic programmes including cloud migration, digital product roadmap enhancement, and enterprise technology upgrades in infrastructure and data.
 
Current workstreams include:
  • Data Transformation (on-prem to cloud migration),
  • Digital and Data standards, for product roadmap improvements
  • Technology infrastructure modernisation including hybrid cloud, application upgrades, and containerisation (on-prem to cloud, and on-prem to on-prem)

Role: Senior Project Manager
Location: 2–3 days per week onsite in Somerset
Rate: £640 per day
Contract: 12 months
Status: Inside IR35
Clearance: SC Clearance required from outset
Eligibility: UK Nationals only (No dual nationals)
 
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must hold active SC Clearance at application stage, and must be a British National.
 
Key Skills & Experience
  • End-to-end project management delivery within complex programmes, ideally within a government or defence space
  • Utilisation of government delivery standards, such as the GDS and DDaT frameworks
  • Strong delivery planning, milestone tracking and governance management
  • Time, cost and stakeholder management across multiple workstreams
  • Monthly project reporting and highlight reporting to senior leadership
  • Benefits realisation and delivery decision support
  • Risk and issue management across people, budgets and suppliers
  • Cloud migration programme experience - Exposure to hybrid cloud, infrastructure upgrades and containerisation projects
  • Knowledge of Azure and some AWS environments for infrastructure / cloud workstreams
