Role Overview:
- Position: Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant
- Location: Brixton
- Start Date: Immediate
- Contract: Full-Time
- Salary: £105 - £115 per day (Dependent on experience)
About You:
- Has experience working with children in an Early Years setting.
- Has supported children with special educational needs, including autism (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and developmental delays.
- Can provide one-to-one and small group support, helping children to engage in learning and social activities.
- Is confident in using alternative communication methods such as Makaton, PECS, or visual timetables.
- Can build positive relationships with children, supporting their emotional well-being and development.
- Works well as part of a team, collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff.
- Has a patient, adaptable, and proactive approach to working with children with diverse needs.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support young children in developing essential communication, social, and early learning skills.
- Implement individual learning plans and sensory activities tailored to children’s needs.
- Assist in behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
- Provide a safe, calm, and nurturing environment where children feel supported.
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to ensure children make progress in their development.
