Building Safety Coordinator/Business Support, Enfield

The Building Safety Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our high-rise residential buildings within our council housing stock. The successful candidate will be required to work from within the community both on an individual basis and as part of a team. The aim is to actively contribute to the development and smooth running of the high-rise locations in accordance with local policies, procedures and legislation. This position will involve overseeing the safety of the building through a robust inspection regime and working collaboratively with various stakeholders to maintain safe living environments for residents. This will include crucial customer engagement to ensure significant information is documented and updated on the person centred fire risk assessments (PCFRA). Key responsibilities include: 1. Regulatory Compliance: Assist with ensuring that all buildings comply with relevant health & safety legislation and regulations, including the Building Safety Act. 2. Risk Assessments: Conduct regular safety inspections of communal areas to identify hazards and report for necessary remedial action. 3. Documentation Management: Maintain comprehensive records of PCFRA’s and ensure all paperwork is up to date and accessible. 4. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with housing management, maintenance teams, and external contractors to coordinate safety-related tasks. 5.
