1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Lambeth SW2)

Pay: £545 per week
Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only
About the Role We are currently recruiting for three dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lambeth (SW2) this September.
You will be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis with Special Educational Needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN
• Support children with Autism (ASD), ADHD, or Down Syndrome
• Assist in delivering personalised learning plans and interventions
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Requirements

• Essential: Experience working within a UK primary school setting
• Essential: SEN experience supporting children with ASD, ADHD, or Down Syndrome
• Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting children

Desirable

• Experience in Early Years (EYFS)
• Training such as Team Teach, PECS, or Makaton
• Background in child development or education
