English Teacher – South Birmingham – Part-Time (Wed/Thu/Fri)
This amazing SEND school in South Birmingham is seeking a passionate English Teacher to teach small classes of students with Autism, ADHD and Moderate Learning Difficulties. This is a part-time role (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday), starting as soon as possible, and is ideal for an English Teacher who wants to make a meaningful impact in a SEND setting.

As the English Teacher, you will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons from Key Stage 3 up to GCSE level, adapting your planning to meet a wide range of needs. You will be teaching smaller-than-average classes, supported by experienced Teaching Assistants who help ensure every student receives the attention they need to succeed. The role requires a QTS English Teacher who is committed to giving every student access to an outstanding education, regardless of the barriers that they face.
Job Role:

• Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4 to small groups of SEND students
• Planning and delivering creative, accessible and engaging lessons
• Adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
• Building positive and trusting relationships with students
• Collaborating with teaching assistants to support learning and wellbeing
• Creating a classroom environment where students feel safe, valued and confident

You Will Need:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching English – in mainstream or SEND
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to differentiate lessons confidently
• A calm, resilient and nurturing teaching style
• Previous experience working with SEND students (desirable)
