English Teacher – Special School – Birmingham

As an English Teacher, you will be teaching small classes of children with Autism and MLD, delivering creative and accessible lessons that inspire confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

Job Role:

• Delivering engaging English lessons to small classes of pupils with Autism and MLD.
• Adapting teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs.
• Working collaboratively with a caring and experienced team of staff.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Supporting pupils’ communication, confidence, and literacy development.
• Contributing to the wider school community as a dedicated English Teacher.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status – essential for this English Teacher role.
• A passion for SEN education and a commitment to pupil-centred teaching.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Experience working with Autism, MLD or SEND (desirable but not essential)
• A positive attitude and a willingness to grow and develop as an English Teacher.
