Job Description
Are you a qualified Teacher or experienced Tutor looking for a rewarding opportunity delivering 1-2-1 sessions for students that have struggled to engage in mainstream education? This excellent SEMH school is looking to add a tutor to the team to deliver sessions onsite and in the homes of students who are face barriers to learning.
As an outreach tutor you will be planning and delivering lessons for students who have been excluded form mainstream education. You will have to tailor your approach to meet the needs of each individual student, and you must be comfortable delivering a range of subjects including maths and English. This role requires a full driving licence ad access to a vehicle as you will be asked to travel between sites.
Role
- Teaching core subjects to Key Stage 3/4 students on a 1-2-1 and small group basis
- Tailoring lessons to suit needs of individual students
- Making lessons engaging, interactive and informative
- Supporting children with SEMH needs in their studies
- Mentoring students who have struggled to engage with education
