Job Description
Are you a Qualified Teacher who has experience teaching children with SEMH needs or challenging behaviours? This busy SEMH school is looking to add an SEMH Teacher to the team to teach a small class of Key Stage 3 children who have been excluded from mainstream education. This role requires a qualified teacher who excellent behaviour management skills and an empathetic approach. You will be joining an experience team of SEMH Teachers and Teaching Assistants who are dedicated to making a difference.
This school have fantastic facilities, dedicated leadership and provides a nurturing environment for students who have faced barriers to education. This role will involve teaching a range of subjects to Key Stage 3 children that are working at a Key Stage 2 level. This role is suitable for a qualified teacher from either a Primary or Secondary background.
You will be:-
- QTS Teacher
- Able to show you have capacity to work in other areas of the Curriculum
- Happy to work in an Alternative Provision
- Used to working with children and young adults with some challenging attitudes towards learning and enabling them to make progress
- Looking to have an impact, be creative and make lessons interesting
- Happiest when seeing that "light bulb" moment in terms of learning
- A confident communicator who understands that every child in this setting has a different story to tell therefore be someone who can really differentiate
