About the Role:
Pertemps Education is working with a number of well-regarded secondary schools across South East London who are seeking a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging and practical lessons across KS3–KS4, inspiring students in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality Design & Technology lessons across KS3–KS4
• Encourage creativity, innovation, and problem-solving through practical learning
• Maintain a safe and organised workshop/classroom environment in line with health & safety regulations
• Differentiate lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning styles
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
• Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level
• Strong subject knowledge across one or more DT specialisms
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning

Desirable (Not Essential):

• Experience with CAD/CAM or workshop machinery
• Ability to teach across multiple DT disciplines
• Experience working with SEN or SEMH students
