Stores Lead/Inventory Manager

Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Stores Lead / Inventory Manager to drive inventory excellence and support their operational goal of "on time, in full, every time".

Key Responsibilities:
With over 5000 stock items, you will oversee all inventory processes, ensuring accurate receiving, secure storage, and timely picking.
Maintain ERP and WMS system integrity, ensuring physical stock matches system data.
Resolve discrepancies in quality, quantity, and timing, working closely with Quality and Engineering teams.
Lead and develop the stores team, assigning tasks and driving daily delivery targets.
Support procurement with demand forecasting, stock level setting, and E&O reviews.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, stock security, and location accuracy.

Requirements:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in inventory management within engineering or manufacturing.
Strong understanding of inventory control, BOMs, technical drawings, and lean stock practices.
Proficient in ERP/WMS systems, barcode scanning, and MS Office.
Excellent communication, time management, and organisational skills.
Proven leadership and team development capabilities.

Desirable:
Experience in hardware or ironmongery sectors.
Exposure to operations and planning functions.
