Job Description
This role delivers Operational Readiness Capability, driving closer integration of operational requirements into delivery solutions and consistent handover standards.
You will be encouraging collaboration within Operational teams and understanding the
needs of all stakeholders.
This role will also require involvement in projects from the start, supporting & representing Operations throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that operational capability, resilience, and planning is included in the delivery scope.
The role holder will be expected to have organisational insight & influence with an ability to challenge and will report into Operations, liaising with Capital Delivery and all other key stakeholders to ensure the correct solution for Thames Water.
- Base location: London – can be based out of the following locations: Coppermills (E177HE) or Ashford Common (WTW) (TW151RU) or Hampton (WTW) (TW122ES), or Orpington (BR60SQ).
- Working pattern: 36 Hours per week (Mon-Fri)
- Full UK Driving License Required.
What you’ll be doing as an Operations Integration Manager (Non-Infra):
- Accountable for the engagement, coordination and support of operational input into the Capital Delivery programme.
- Sign off project scope on behalf of Operational teams, understanding scope limitations and risks.
- You assure the compliance of statutory obligations by using our health, safety & environmental management systems; to ensure zero harm, zero risk, and zero compromise, to the business and our customers.
- You effectively and integrate resources to effectively manage risk, cost, time and quality management.
- Manage in a way that drives performance, engagement and development, building collaborative and capable teams to represent Operations.
- You work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure expectations are managed and outcomes achieved.
- You effectively manage issues, threats and opportunities using appropriate risk management techniques and the use of our corporate systems.
- You report on time, cost, and quality parameters of a project in a predictable and assured way, to inform business budgets and planning cycles.
What should you bring to the role?
- Leadership experience and understanding of the operational requirements for capital-delivered projects.
- Operational experience and understanding to determine operational constraints & site restrictions is highly desirable.
- Knowledge & understanding of catchment and area implications to site performance to feed decision making on solution implementation.
- Awareness of legislative frameworks relating to future requirements that may impact delivery.
- Experienced in conducting site meetings to facilitate both Operations and Delivery teams, as well as forming part of the review process.
- Proven track record of delivering outcomes and budgets, working closely with capital delivery teams.
- Understanding of contractual testing and experience in facilitating sign-off.
- Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills are essential alongside the ability to manage and influence multiple high-level and external stakeholders whilst delivering to tight deadlines.
- NEBOSH/IOSH Accreditation Desirable.
