Job Title: Waste Operative
Location: PL4
Duration: Temporary role due to run from 28/03/25 - March 2026
Shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Hours: 06:00 - 18:00 (34.5 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £12.85 per hour (Friday and Saturday), £16.06 per hour (Sunday)

Pertemps are currently seeking dedicated and reliable Waste Operative to join the weekend team for the cleansing of car parks within the city centre. This temporary role involves waste collection, removal of bodily fluids, and handling hypodermic needles. Comprehensive training, PPE, and materials will be provided.

Responsibilities:
- Safely collect and dispose of waste from designated areas.
- Remove bodily fluids and hypodermic needles following safety protocols.
- Operate waste management equipment efficiently.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Complete assigned tasks within specified time frames.

Requirements:
- Clean Driving Licence: Must possess a valid and clean UK driving licence.
- Electric Vehicle Induction: An induction will be carried out for operating electric vehicles.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in waste management or a similar role is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
- Strong commitment to safety and hygiene practices.
- Excellent time management and reliability.
- Good communication skills.

Upon successful application, an induction will be arranged during which comprehensive training will be provided. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be supplied for this role.
