Sheridan Maine is delighted to be recruiting for an Interim Management Accountant to support an esteemed organisation based in Bournemouth. This is a contract role, ideal for a skilled finance professional seeking to make a meaningful impact during a busy period.
 
The Role
As the Management Accountant, you will play a key role in the financial management and reporting processes, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparation and production of monthly management accounts, ensuring anomalies are investigated and resolved.
• Create detailed, commercially viable budgets and models, and communicate their impact across the business.
• Review and sign off balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• Supporting year-end processes, including liaising with external auditors.
• Prepare regular cash flow reports and manage cash investments.
• Oversee accurate quarterly VAT returns in compliance with HMRC regulations.

 
To be considered for the role of Management Accountant, you will:

• Be fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
• Have proven experience in a management accounting role.
• Possess advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems.
• Have excellent organisation and analytical skills.
• Own a strong understanding of the financial accounting side of the business, including VAT, tax, Gift Aid and bank reconciliations.
