Position: HGV Technician

Location: Burton-On-Trent

Hours: Rotating Shifts (00:06–15:30 / 15:30–00:00) or Fixed Lates (15:30–00:00)

Salary: Up to £48,000 (Depending on qualifications and experience)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

What You’ll Bring:

• A proactive, hands-on approach with a keen eye for detail
• City & Guilds Level 1, 2, and 3 (or equivalent) in HGV mechanics
• Solid diagnostic and fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Strong knowledge of DVLA regulations and vehicle compliance standards
• Excellent customer service when representing the brand
• Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure

 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Routine servicing and inspections of HGVs and vans
• Diagnosing and repairing faults (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic)
• Completing brake, engine, suspension, and gearbox repairs
• Preparing vehicles for MOT and ensuring roadworthiness
• Maintaining clear documentation and compliance
• Keeping the workshop clean, safe, and efficient
