Job Description

HGV Class 1 Driver – Haydock

Pertemps are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client’s busy depot in Haydock. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing, regular work with competitive PAYE rates. An assessment will be required for this role.

Responsibilities of the HGV Class 1 Driver:

Operating Class 1 (C+E) articulated vehicles for trunking and distribution routes

Transporting temperature-controlled pharmaceutical and medical products

Ensuring timely deliveries and collections in accordance with delivery schedules

No handball required for the role

What we’re looking for in a HGV Class 1 Driver:

Minimum 1 years’ HGV Class 1 driving experience, with recent Class 1 work within the last 6 months

A valid C+E licence, CPC card, and digital tachograph card

A maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements

The details of the HGV Class 1 Driver role:

Shifts: Monday to Sunday operation

Start times: Vary - 24/7

Shift length: Typically 10–12 hours

Pay rates: From £16.42 to £18.00 per hour (PAYE)

Contract type: Regular, ongoing work with consistent start times
