Payroll Specialist

Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join their established team based in the East End of Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional looking to join a supportive and close-knit finance function, working within a small team of 6 in a fully office-based role.


The Role:

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll while supporting wider payroll administration activities across the business.


Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end payroll processing on a weekly and/or monthly basis

• Managing payroll records and maintaining accurate employee data

• Processing starters, leavers, salary changes, SSP, SMP and pensions

• Handling payroll queries from employees and management

• Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and HMRC requirements

• Supporting reporting and payroll reconciliation activities

• Assisting the wider finance/payroll team as required

 
About You:

• Previous experience in a payroll-focused position is essential

• Strong understanding of payroll processes and UK payroll legislation

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong communication and organisational skills

• Ability to work effectively within a small collaborative team

• Experience using payroll systems and Microsoft Excel

 

What’s on Offer:

• Salary of £30,000 – £34,000 depending on experience
