Probate Solicitor | Somerset | Office-Based | Competitive Salary

Overview:
A well-established and highly regarded law firm in Somerset is looking to recruit a Probate Solicitor to join its busy Private Client team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to handle a varied caseload within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role:
You will be responsible for managing a broad caseload of probate and estate administration matters from instruction through to completion. The role will involve advising clients on wills, trusts, inheritance tax, and estate planning, as well as drafting legal documentation and liaising with key stakeholders throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:
• Managing probate and estate administration matters from start to finish
• Providing advice on wills, trusts, LPAs, inheritance tax, and intestacy
• Drafting and reviewing wills, trust deeds, and related documentation
• Preparing applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration
• Liaising with executors, beneficiaries, HMRC, and third parties
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice
• Delivering high standards of client care and building strong relationships
• Supporting business development initiatives where required

About You:
• Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales (ideally 3+ PQE, although strong NQs will be considered)
• Proven experience in probate and estate administration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to manage workloads independently and meet deadlines
• Proficient with case management systems and Microsoft Office
• STEP qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
