This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Vetting Administrator. The Vetting Administrator is responsible for supporting the security clearance and background vetting process within this interesting and unique organisation. This role ensures that all personnel meet the necessary security and integrity standards before being granted access to sensitive information, facilities, or roles. The position involves processing applications, verifying credentials, maintaining records, and liaising with relevant stakeholders to uphold compliance with security policies and procedures. Responsibilities include:
- Responsiblity for sponsoring and administering National Security Vetting Clearance applications through the United Kingdom Security Vetting (UKSV) portal.
- Maintaining the Vetting register ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Provide pragmatic and appropriate advice and guidance across the organisation on vetting requirements, procedures, processes and legislation.
- To collate vetting statistics and distribute associated reports.
- Provide and maintains statistics to inform and maintain IPSA dashboard.
- Process CPCs, SAFs and vetting transfers.
- Assuring application process, produce and issue GovPass access cards.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders including contracting authorities and relevant government agencies.
- Oversee visits management, both internal and external, where clearances are required.
- Previous experience in a vetting, HR, compliance, or security administration role, preferably within a government or regulated environment.
- Knowledge of security vetting processes, background checks, and relevant legislation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in using vetting or HR databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Understanding of data protection and confidentiality principles.
- Familiarity with national security clearance levels and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
