Opportunity to join a well-established architectural consultancy who are looking for a Senior Architectural Technician to join their Technical team.

Due to a strong and growing workload within the residential sector, they are looking for someone with experience producing technical drawing packages for housing developments, ideally working with national house builders. This role would suit someone who is confident technically, enjoys detailed design work and is looking to progress into a more senior, project led position over time.

You will be working closely with Project Managers and other technicians, supporting the delivery of projects from technical design through to construction, with involvement in coordinating information and ensuring high quality output across all stages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and developing technical working drawing packages for residential schemes
  • Producing drawings including
  • Assisting with the design and layout of external works, including access, boundaries and site planning
  • Liaising with Building Control to discharge conditions and resolve queries
  • Coordinating consultant information and integrating into technical packages
  • Reviewing and incorporating specialist supplier designs
  • Attending design team meetings and site visits where required
 Requirements
  • Experience within the residential sector, ideally working with housebuilders
  • Strong technical ability with a high level of attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Building Regulations and NHBC standards
  • Understanding of construction methods, materials and detailing
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
Desirable:
  • Experience producing large-scale construction details
  • Experience reviewing or implementing third-party supplier designs
