Senior Electrical Engineer โ€“ Building Services

๐Ÿ’ฐ Salary: ยฃ40,000 โ€“ ยฃ60,000 (depending on experience)
Weโ€™re working with a multi-award-winning Building Services Consultancy that continues to set the standard in Mechanical, Electrical, Public Health, and Sustainable Design across the UK. With a strong pipeline of projects and continued growth, their Plymouth office is looking to welcome a Senior Electrical Engineer to the team.
This role offers the chance to take a technical lead on a range of exciting and diverse projects across key sectors, including:

Youโ€™ll play a vital role in project delivery from concept to completion โ€“ and be part of a collaborative and technically ambitious team. Whether youโ€™re stepping into a senior role or looking for a more dynamic environment, this is a real opportunity to make your mark.

๐Ÿ”ง Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the electrical design on multiple small projects (up to ยฃ10M), a single medium project (up to ยฃ50M), or contribute to a large-scale project (ยฃ50M+).
  • Conduct feasibility studies, conceptual and detailed designs, and resource estimation.
  • Prepare technical reports and AutoCAD drawings.
  • Oversee calculations and modelling where necessary.
  • Mentor junior engineers and review technical outputs.
  • Manage your workload within project cost and programme constraints.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and clients throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Proven experience in Building Services Electrical Design.
  • Ability to lead and manage design projects independently.
  • Chartered status (or actively working towards it).
  • Proficiency in design tools and software (AutoCAD, Amtech, etc.).
  • A confident communicator with strong team leadership skills.
