Pre Construction Manager - Plymouth
A leading, locally based Contractor, operating within public and private sectors constructing some of the region’s most innovative and landmark buildings are looking to strengthen their team with the appointment of an experienced Pre-construction Manager responsible for ensuring that all pre-construction activities are completed to the very highest quality.

The main purpose of this role is to oversee and coordinate all aspects of pre-construction administration and systems, Liaise with Clients, Design team and Supply Chain, Deliver market leading Quality/Bid documents and Support Senior Estimator and wider team in regard to all tasks in the required tender timescales.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the pre-construction process and procedures, ensuring a seamless transition from planning to execution.
  • The ownership of the tender decision process falls under this purview, requiring astute judgment and strategic thinking.
  • Production of monthly management reports, providing vital insights for informed decision-making.
  • Analysis and benchmarking of pre-qualification and tender success rates, along with client feedback, are integral aspects of the role, driving continuous improvement and competitiveness.
  • Visiting the site of the proposed project to assess construction related items, including constraints that may affect the build process.
  • Meeting when required with clients/designers/project teams/subcontractors to discuss the project.
  • Ensure tender delivery programme aligns with key dates and other contractual requirements.
  • Manage tender process and programme with kick off, review and submission meetings.
  • Supporting the Business Development Team in developing new opportunities, to include identifying and attending networking events and activities where required.
Skills:
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Strong leadership and multitasking skills
  • Strong IT skills as well as software knowledge such as Indesign
  • CSCS – Managers Card
  • First Aid at work
  • SMSTS
  • Driving licence
