Opportunity for an Experienced planner to join an ambitious and sustainable housebuilder in their Exeter office. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Planner, ideally with MRTPI chartered status and substantial experience managing residential planning applications. In this role, you’ll lead the planning team and oversee the entire planning process.

The role:
  • Progressing and Managing the planning process directly or via consultants
  • Provide Town Planning advice and co-ordinating with the land, technical and design teams to assist with land purchase and planning matters
  • Delivering profitable development opportunities
  • Overseeing and managing the project planning team
  • Co-ordinate and manage external consultants
  • Consider all planning issues in connection with the land
  • Investigate and consider all planning matters and risks
  • Co-ordinate and manage any public exhibitions/presentations
  • Attending meetings with local authorities and represent the company at planning committees
  • Attending site meetings
  • Prepare project development assessments
The Candidate:
  • Member of the RTPI or degree level in T&C planning. MRTPI chartership is desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of local authority policy requirements
  • Good relationships with local authorities and planning consultants
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of the project team
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills
  • UK based experienced essential
