An exciting opportunity for an experienced Planner to join a well-established practice in their new offices in Exeter. This local practice, which recently merged with a global multidisciplinary construction company, is seeking a Town Planner to oversee their nationwide planning operations.

The design led consultancy which is aggressively expanding offers a range of services from Architectural, through to construction management and planning all while maintaining an excellent staff Retention.

The right candidate will ideally have 10 + years of planning experience across a variety of sectors to include leisure parks, and you can find yourself working in a small but friendly office environment, being fully supported with all the benefits you will find working for a large multi-disciplinary.

You’ll have the opportunity for professional growth and career development in a friendly, sociable, and supportive setting. You'll also manage the planning department, with the potential for further growth over time.

The Role:
• Develop creative and original planning solutions
• Preparing policy presentations, project proposals and tender responses
• Manging own client relationships
• Grow workload and win business in the area
• Consult with stakeholders and other interested parties
• Negotiate with developers and other professionals, such as surveyors and architects
• Assess planning applications and monitor outcomes
• Research and analyses data to help inform strategic developments
• Design layouts and draft design statements
• Attend and present at planning boards, appeals and public inquiries
• Relevant Planning degree within MRTPI / RTPI /RICS
• Proficiency on CAD software
• Project delivery
• keep up to date with legislation associated with land use
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
