Based:North Lanarkshire
Pay rate: £17.00 – £20.00 per hour
Hours: Mon-Fri 7:45 to 4:15 (half hour unpaid break)
Start date: ASAP - 1 month - possible extension

Our client is looking for a Mobile Plant Operator to join a busy and fast-paced operational site in North Lanarkshire. This is a hands-on role suited to individuals with experience operating heavy machinery and working in industrial or outdoor environments.

You will be responsible for operating mobile plant equipment to support the safe and efficient movement and processing of materials across site.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate mobile plant machinery such as loading shovels, excavators, or telehandlers
• Safely move, load, and manage materials across the site
• Assist with the sorting and processing of materials where required
• Carry out daily equipment checks and report any faults or defects
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Work in line with all health & safety and site procedures
• Support general site operations as needed

Requirements

• Previous experience operating mobile plant machinery
• Relevant plant tickets (e.g. CPCS, NPORS) preferred
• Tickets for Telehandler up to 9m & Articulated Dump Truck (25T
• Strong understanding of health & safety practices
• Ability to work in a physically demanding, outdoor environment
• Reliable, punctual, and a good team player
