We are recruiting an experienced and motivated Internal Sales Person to join a well-established builders’ merchant in Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with sales experience in the construction supply sector who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling incoming sales enquiries and providing product advice
• Building strong relationships with trade and retail customers
• Preparing quotes, processing orders, and following up to close sales
• Proactively contacting customers to generate new business
• Supporting the external sales team with leads and account management
• Ensuring high levels of customer service at all times
• Maintaining accurate sales records and using CRM systems effectively

Requirements:

• Proven internal sales experience, ideally within a builders’ merchant or construction supply environment
• Strong product knowledge of building materials and related products
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Customer-focused approach with the ability to build lasting relationships
• Organised, proactive, and able to work in a busy sales office
• IT literate with experience using CRM/order management systems
