Salary: £14.86 per hour (including shift allowance)
Hours: 46.4 hours per week, Monday – Thursday, 06:00–18:00

Due to continued growth, they’re now seeking a skilled Bench Hand / Assembler to join their dedicated production team.
 
The Role
 
This is a hands-on, workshop-based position, ideal for someone experienced in assembly, deburring, or hand-finishing within a precision or aerospace manufacturing setting.
 
You’ll be responsible for assembling and finishing precision-engineered components to tight tolerances using a range of manual tools and inspection equipment. Working alongside experienced machinists and inspectors, you’ll ensure that every part meets the highest quality standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
 

• Perform deburring, blending, and polishing on precision-engineered components.
• Use air tools and fly presses safely and effectively, including clocking fixtures, vices, and angle plates.
• Carry out hand assembly and finishing tasks to fine tolerances.
• Inspect work using Verniers, Micrometres, Depth Micrometres, and Gauges.
• Complete part identification processes such as Vibro Etch, Inkjet Marking, Stamping, and Dot Peening.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality documentation.
• Maintain high levels of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.

 
About You
 
You’ll be a methodical, detail-oriented Bench Hand or Assembler who takes pride in precision work. You’ll have a background in component assembly, bench fitting, or manual finishing, ideally within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
 
Essential Requirements:
 

• Previous experience in assembly, finishing, or bench work within a precision or manufacturing environment.
• Competent in using hand tools and precision measuring equipment (Verniers, Micrometres, etc.).
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings or work instructions.
• Conscientious, quality-driven approach to work.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

• £14.86 per hour (including shift allowance).
• Four-day working week (Monday–Thursday, 06:00–18:00).
• 46.4-hour week – no weekend working.
