CNC Operator – Immediate Start – Hereford

We are recruiting CNC Operators on behalf of a global engineering leader specialising in high-performance alloys for aerospace, power generation, space exploration, and defence. Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating CNC machinery including lathes, grinders, saws, drills, and handheld tools
• Setting and adjusting CNC machines for production runs to meet precise specifications
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, diagrams, and job instructions
• Using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, vernier callipers, gauges, tape measures, and rulers to verify tolerances
• Monitoring machine performance and making necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy
• Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on CNC equipment
• Working to strict quality and safety standards while completing all required production documentation
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with health & safety regulations
• Collaborating with supervisors and colleagues to meet daily and weekly production targets

What We’re Looking For

• Previous CNC operating or machining experience (essential)
• Ability to set, operate, and adjust CNC lathes or milling machines
• Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
• Willingness to work a 3-shift rotation (6–2 / 2–10 / 10–6)
• Dependable, adaptable, and committed to working as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow processes accurately
