Location: Northampton
Pay: £7.55 – £12.21 per hour (Apprentice rates depending on age)

The Journey:
The "Closing" department is where the magic happens—it's the stage where the individual pieces of leather are stitched together to form the upper of the shoe. It requires precision, skill, and an eye for quality.

• Earn While You Learn: You’ll attend college one day every two weeks to gain formal qualifications while earning a competitive wage.
• Specialist Training: By the end of the course, you will be a skilled technician within our Closing Department, mastering industrial sewing machines and assembly.
• The Schedule: Enjoy a 39-hour week with an early finish every Friday.
  • Mon – Thu: 07:30 – 16:30
  • Fri: 07:30 – 12:30 (Home by lunchtime!)

Who You Are
You don’t need a background in manufacturing, but you do need:

• An interest in shoes production
• You enjoy working with sewing machines, tools, or intricate hobbies like model making or textiles.
• You take pride in "getting it right" and have a keen eye for detail.
• You’re excited to be part of Northampton’s most famous industry.
