Join a well-established manufacturing business as a CAD Design Engineer, producing sheet steelwork and copper busbars. Take initial specifications and generate production drawings, instructions, punch press programs, and all documentation to support efficient manufacturing.


 

What you’ll do:


 

• 
  
  Generate and quality-check all production design information

• 
  
  Operate AutoCAD (2D) and Radan (2D) to produce accurate designs

• 
  
  Support design for manufacture (DFM) and process improvement initiatives

• 
  
  Assist with mentoring junior staff and continuous improvement programmes

• 
  
  Optimise material usage and contribute to cost-saving initiatives

 

 

What we’re looking for:


 

• 
  
  Proficient in AutoCAD and Radan (2D)

• 
  
  Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• 
  
  Experience in design for manufacture

• 
  
  HND or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering preferred

• 
  
  Team player with excellent communication skills
