What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll play a key role in keeping the plant running smoothly, combining planned maintenance with fast-paced reactive work. From fault finding to installing new machinery, this is a role where your mechanical skills will be fully utilised.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Maintaining and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Welding, fabrication, and mechanical fitting
- Responding to breakdowns and keeping downtime to a minimum
- Supporting machinery installations and upgrades
- Working safely while keeping clear, accurate reports
What We’re Looking For:
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or time-served apprenticeship)
- Experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment
- Practical skills in welding/fabrication and general maintenance
- A proactive, team-focused approach
- Experience with slitting/decoiling machinery is a bonus, not essential.
Shifts & Overtime:
- Rotating 2-shift pattern (days, afternoons)
- Regular overtime available, including weekends
