Job Description

Investment Operations Administrator - Bristol

Full-time Monday - Friday 9 - 5 pm | Salary is up to £24,000 per annum plus amazing benefits on offer.

Office based, and once fully trained you can work remotely 1 day per week.

We're working with an award-winning, innovative financial services firm in Bristol who are looking for a talented Investment Operations Administrator to join their friendly team.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a role that's much more than 'admin' as you'll be at the heart of investment operations, working on discretionary models, client asset controls, reconciliations, and trade oversight, while supporting a collaborative, forward-thinking team.

If progression is important to you, the firm offers clear progression paths, and a genuine opportunity to learn so much. You'll be fully supported with training.

The Role

As an Investment Operations Administrator, you'll:
  • Support the CASS & Investment Controls team, ensuring processes are accurate, compliant, and efficient
  • Manage discretionary holdings on third-party platforms:
  • Build and update investment models
  • Oversee trade instructions and settlements
  • Maintain available investment assets for discretionary services
  • Administer fees and revenue
  • Monitor third-party platform performance and resolve queries
  • Support the Dealing Team during busy periods with asset maintenance, dividend allocation, and corporate actions
  • Assist with daily client asset reconciliations and investigations
  • Contribute to process improvement projects, helping develop stronger controls and more efficient workflows
  • Build your knowledge of regulations, processes, and investment operations to support team queries

About You

You're proactive, detail-oriented, and curious, with a passion for getting things done and a knack for problem-solving. If you have previously worked within financial services then this is a great bonus, but we can also consider applications from candidates who have a real desire to work within this sector and learn and grow with the organisation.

Essential:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Logical, inquisitive approach to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Strong numeracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Why Join?

This is a hands-on role where your work will make a real difference. You'll gain exposure to investment operations, discretionary services, and client asset controls all within a supportive, innovative, and award-winning organisation that genuinely values its people.
