Conveyor Maintenance Technician
Hams Hall / East Midlands Location – between sites
£42,000 + fantastic benefits!

An exciting opportunity to join a leading supply chain solution business as a Conveyor Maintenance Technician. Working between Hams Hall and East Midlands Gateway you will work within a team to deliver exceptional service.

Reporting to the Technical Manager your duties will include;

• Support repairs and PPM activities conducted by site technicians.
• Provide training and support for on-site technicians.
• Respond to automation incidents reported via telephone or internal ticket system and provide necessary support and repairs.
• Assist with preventative maintenance activities and schedule management.
• Ensure all repair and maintenance tasks are properly logged on each ticket.
• Escalate repair or maintenance issues to the Technical Services Manager.
• Liaise with operations staff to keep them updated on repair and maintenance activities.
• Support the Technical Services Manager with reporting tasks.
• Maintain the integrity of the critical spares inventory by supporting local teams with stock counts and data input for deliveries or repairs.
• Support vendor technicians and engineers during site visits.
• Assist in training activities or provide cover for other team members at UK sites as required.
• Maintain 5S standards in all engineering working areas, ensuring cleanliness, safety, proper tooling placement, and reporting any faults or issues.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:
• Qualification in an area of electrical bias (Required).
• Knowledge of conveyor systems operation (Required).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with conveyor systems (Required).
• Previous experience supporting technical teams at a senior level (Preferred).
• Knowledge of Autostore, shuttle systems, or other automation (Preferred).
• Qualification in an area of mechanical bias (Preferred).
• Previous experience in electrical or mechanical system repairs.
• Confident in using power tools, including hot works tools such as soldering irons.
• Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Access).
• Confident in using computers for a variety of tasks.
• Experience with remote support (Preferred).
