Stores Operative (Temporary – Site Based)
Reporting to: Stores Manager 
Location: Site Based
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour


 
 About the Role 
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Stores Operative to join our Client on a temporary to Permanant. This is a front-facing role where you will be responsible for maintaining high standards within the stores environment and ensuring product availability for the client.

 
You will play a key role in supporting daily operations by managing stock efficiently, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring all processes are completed accurately and on time.

 
 Available Shifts (3 positions available) 

• Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:30

• Day Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30

• Afternoon Shift: Monday to Friday, 13:30 – 22:00

 Key Responsibilities 

• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional relationship with the client

• Issue stock products accurately and efficiently

• Source and provide supplier catalogues and product information

• Expedite outstanding purchase orders when required

• Accurately book in goods received using the stock control system

• Manage and release back orders for delivery

• Confirm customer deliveries in a timely manner

• Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and authorised where required

• Complete stock deliveries within one working day

• Carry out regular stock checks and maintain accurate stock records

• Record stock locations and adjustments as necessary

• Maintain high housekeeping standards within the stores environment

• Attend site meetings and follow up on any actions required

• Support additional duties as required in line with the role

 

 
 Candidate Requirements (Mandatory) 

• Excellent communication skills in English (both spoken and written)

• Previous experience working in a manufacturing production-based stores role or working closely with engineers

• Strong focus on delivering excellent customer experience

• Ability to work effectively within a team

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Good IT skills (SAP experience desirable but not essential)

• Strong organisational skills
